Soalhães – Elementos Patrimoniais is an editorial project that tells the story of the architecture, culture and landscape of Soalhães patrimony from pre-history to recent ages. The history’s elements are set in wood and stone and the pages are full of surprises.
We combined photographs in different scales with text columns. Every chapter portraits a particular time with an associated icon and color and describes an element identified by a number.
We also developed a timeline for the elements and the territory’s infographic placed in a dual page that can be open out so the reader may leaf through the numbers and see its position instantly on the map.
This project was developed in collaboration with Filipe Caetano and Miguel Ribeiro. The research and following texts were developed by archaeologist Luis Sousa and the product photographs are from Álvaro Martino.
